I wanted to see an English beach, so we went to Whitstable, north of Canterbury. We found a popular Fish and Chips place, and ate our food by the shore.

I had to get a photo of a British phone booth. It reminds me of episodes of "The Avengers". I liked this house, but I took a picture to show how the people put a common stone in their buildings. You see it everywhere. It is a pale grey/ivory on the outside. When you break it open, there is a black rock that looks like glass. We brought one home.

Can't wait to see your black stone. I got a small rock from Tintagel, Devon, England and some chalk from the white cliffs of Dover a few years back.
For this adventure we have a small rock from the shores of the Loire River, and a couple from Fitou. We wanted to get a little sample from the red rock beach, but literally anything that was once there that could be carried was gone.
So fun to see all your sights. I love the house. So much design is put into a lot of them. We particularly like the stone houses here as well.
