England - Bury St. Edmunds
After driving in Paris parking garages, driving on English roads was a piece of cake. It took a couple of days to adjust, and we almost got a nice side collision because we forgot the "look right" rule. But other than that, Paul did a great job. My brother Scott let Paul and me drive his English-style car. That was an odd experience. I kept checking my wrong blind spot and my hand would automatically reach on my right to change gears. It was fun to give it a try though, so thanks Scott.
Market day on Saturday in Bury St. Edmunds was a highlight of our visit to England. The village closes streets to car traffic and people set up booths. It rained for part of the time, but it didn't stop the crowds from coming. It was fun to shop and Paul even purchased a new wedding ring with a celtic design. It's beautiful. We thought it would be neat to get the ring in a town with the Edmunds' name.
