England - Canterbury

Canterbury is a very old, quaint town. It's everything you picture when you think of England. The only disappointment was that the shops start closing at 5pm. (This was the case through all of Europe - very frustrating.) At least we got to shop at one for tea cups and one for books. I now have an Agatha Christie book directly from England!

The detail on the Cathedral is breathtaking! Hundreds of years old, and still beautiful! All these photos are just from the outside of the building, or within the courtyard. One thing Europe has is an old past. I love America, but there is something reassuring about living around things that have been there for centuries and more!

I Love BBC programs, especially the comedies and mysteries. I know I've seen this courtyard in one of them.

From Mom:
I love the British comedies and mysteries too. Rosemary and Thyme was a recent favorite and so was Mr. Bean. There were others, but I can't remember the titles. Once my sister, Adrienne, and I watched an old British movie where a body was discovered by innocent folk who thought they had to hide it and one of the places was in a grand piano. It was very funny as they moved the body from place to place trying to evade the police. I wish I could remember the name.
En autre part, the courtyard is beautiful but not as much as Teresa.

Thank you mom for the compliment. This one of my favorites, me in England in a place that I've envisioned for years.
